Producer / Screenwriter / Lead
Marine George is an actor, producer and screenwriter who’s adopted the nomad spirit since she first moved to South Africa in 2010.
After this life-changing year, she decided to dedicate her life to building bonds between different cultures and people. This led her to work in diplomacy and for tech companies and NGOs across four different continents, additionally to her work as an actress and producer.
After embracing the good, the bad and the ugly of the #nomadlife, she decided to give a satirical tribute to this world and came back to South Africa to bring the first season of Wanderlost to life.
LAMAR BONHOMME
Director & Director of Photography
Lamar is a short film and video director, screenwriter and actor. He has written and directed three short films, two of which were completed in 2018 and are scheduled to be released early in 2019.
He formed part of the writing team that won the SAFTA for Best Writing Team in 2017.
He has also starred in various local and international film and television productions such as Netflix’s The Crown and alongside James Corden in The Wrong Mans.
JULIA STEPHENSON
Associate Producer
Julia, has mastered the art of presenting, promoting and procuring short film. Born into a world of diversity and advancing technology she has embraced the digital age in style by keeping her finger on the pulse of short film. For her team breathe new life into the entertainment industry, education and business.
Part of the secret of her success is her intimate knowledge of what's trending and her network of international filmmakers. By sheer force of personality, Julia’s approach works. With trained eye for spotting new talent, her unique drive and enthusiasm seeks commercial opportunities to bring out the best in people.
Julia brings creativity, conviction and challenge. She believes that the future belongs to creatives. "As she likes to say, “Everything and anything is possible, if you believe!”
PATRICK NYERE
Assistant Camera Operator
Patrick Nyere is a documentary director from the Democratic Republic of Congo, who moved to South Africa at 16.
Following a one year documentary filmmaking course, he directed in 2018 Ndundu (Albino), a documentary about prejudices against people living with albinism, featuring South African model Sanele Xaba. The project was a reflection on the misunderstanding people from Central and Southern Africa have on alibinism.
A curious mind, Patrick has been involved in different roles for film projects and in 2019, he made his narrative short film directorial debut with Know yourself.
