Marine George

JESSA

Marine George is an actor, producer and screenwriter who’s adopted the nomad spirit since she first moved to South Africa in 2010.

After this life-changing year, she decided to dedicate her life to building bonds between different cultures and people. This led her to work in diplomacy and for tech companies and NGOs across four different continents, additionally to her work as an actress and producer.

After embracing the good, the bad and the ugly of the #nomadlife, she decided to give a satirical tribute to this world and came back to South Africa to bring the first season of Wanderlost to life.

Leku Dube-Rudling

"Age Never Defines you": Junior Producer, Voice Over Artist and Comedic Actress, Leku Dube-Rudling is not your Average 20 year old. Adopted at two, Born in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, raised in Cape Town.

Leku has entered the ‘working world’ at a tender age of 14 and has continued to break down the stereotypes surrounding her life. Her broad personality and character will have you in stitches, reaching for those tissues or simply nodding in agreement and admiration. Leku has always shared the love and passion for the Arts whether it be through her music, her acting or her motivational speaking

Her Broad outlook on life and love continues to Inspire and has shaped her to be a quirky, somewhat mysterious and simply loveable person.

Lu Makoboka

Lulibo Makoboka, better known as Lu, is a music producer & composer, model, writer and host of the Youtube channel Unscene ZA, bringing South African artists to the limelight. He released his first EP in August 2019 under the artistic alias Skai Lounge.

He is one to fully delve into his passions, music just so happens to be the primary one but he decided to take on the role of Sanda as he believes there is a therapeutic element to acting, plus he believes the subject matter of Europeans’ perception of his country is continuously a hot topic.

Although this was his first role on screen, he stated: “it was real easy relate to the character and at times, it felt like I was just casually talking to friends instead of "acting".” Watch out for this natural!

Candice Burges

Candice is a South African actress from Durban, KZN. A trained dancer, she always had an appetite for performance, and since moving to Cape Town in 2012, has been active in both film and theatre.

Candice studied at ACT Cape Town and continues to hone her craft with Matthew Harrison’s The Actors Foundry technique. She is also currently studying classical ballet with Amy Gould.

Recent performance credits include playing Desdemona in Othello at the Baxter Masambe, Wren Robin in the 1950’s comedy, 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche, and Amy in The Widow, as part of the Artscape New Voices Programme.

Candice is represented by Pursch Artistes.

Mvelo Shandu

Mvelo is the eldest of three siblings and hails from the town of Newcastle in KwaZulu Natal. This is where his love for performance began as he was cats in numerous plays and musicals, enticing him to pursue his passion in his tertiary years.

Mvelo is now an accomplished actors, musician, voice over artist, stand-up comedian and MC. You might have seen him sing with his band The Kiffness, act on screen with World Cup winning rugby player “Beast” Mtawarira, or perform at Rocking the Daisies festival.

He is signed to Topco Models Agency in the TVC department. A born entertainer, he carries his passion for the arts in everything he does: ready to rumble with quick whit, life will always be a proper jump if you stumble onto him!

Devin Dollery

Devin first got a taste for acting after appearing in Jonas Blue’s Perfect Strangers music video in 2016, and has pursued acting ever since: “It's heaps of fun and you get to work with really interesting and talented people!”

A true surfer and traveler - as is his character - Devin is usually based in Cape Town where you can find him admiring the spectacular mountains or in the cold surf, trying to dodge barrels.

From a British-South Africa family, Devin spent 10 years growing up in England. He then travelled Central and South America as well as the USA, India and parts of Africa - sometimes by bicycle. Considering Devin’s role in the series, we couldn’t hope for better casting!

Matthew Roy

Matthew moved to Cape Town from Scotland in 2015 and discovered a passion for acting soon after his arrival as ‘Doc’ in Beth Henley’s ‘Crimes of the Heart’.

He has appeared at Alexander Bar Upstairs, Masque theatre, Galloway theatre and the Roxy Revue bar in diverse roles such as Demitreus in A Midsummer Nights Dream, Jerry Lukowski in The Full Monty and Luca and Stepanovic in Chekhov Double Bill. His favorite role so far has been Rosencrantz in Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.

This role is Matthews’s first in front of a camera. He is also developing work in voice acting.

Camille Lagesse

Camille Lagesse is a 26 years old French-Mauritius woman.

Although she grew up in Paris, France, she’s always been familiar to Africa as she visited her family in the beautiful island of Mauritius every year. She moved to Cape Town in 2015 for her studies, where she discovered an amazing country and people.

Camille is not a professional actress, however she loved the idea of playing in a series and be part of some fun photoshoots with friends, to create great memories of her time in South Africa.

Camille believes creativity is at the heart of the South African culture, which is very much in tune with her personnality and her current activities in Paris.

Last but not least, Camille loves how truthful the Wanderlost project is…she’s very excited to share it with everyone!

Egor Korznikov

Egor Korznikov is a professional actor represented by Authentik Agency in Cape Town, South Africa.

Having traveled all the way from the Ural Mountains of Russia to the flat one that is called Table Mountain, he self-names himself a “Proper Russian Hooligan”

Additionally to being a professional fighter, he decided to become an actor and feels immensely priviledged to be able to pursue such a passion. He also takes pride in his bartending skills and more specifically in being an amazing cocktails maker - which he considers an art, just like acting or any sport that he does, as it’s “something different, that makes people happy”.

He’s living and enjoying his life in Cape Town at the moment, but trusts that Hollywood is the next stop: “I’m on my way...”

Clayton Chapwanya Travis

Clayton Travis is a culinary artist based in Cape Town’s up-and-coming Woodstock district and working as a restaurant kitchen manager at Hibye and Bodega in Cape Town.

Clayton likes to call himsef a determined person, a go getter built of integrity who likes to spend his spare time with family or friends.

Clayton loves exposure and to learn new things and goes by the motto “Work Hard Play Hard”.

Clayton came across the opportunity to be featured in Wanderlost when meeting the producer Marine George at Young Blood, where one of the series’ scenes was shot. Impressed by Clayton’s determination, Marine hired him to join the team…and the rest is history.

Julia Stephenson

You are more likely to meet Julia in front of a screen than inside it, as she has , has mastered the art of presenting, promoting and procuring short films. But when Marine George insisted in having her do a guest appearance in the series, she fully jumped on board and delivered an incredibly funny performance!

Born into a world of diversity and advancing technology she has embraced the digital age in style and is the proud creator of Short & Sweet TV, which has been hosting weekly short films for the last decade.

Julia loves creativity and spent her life nurturing young talented filmmakers. As she likes to say, “Everything and anything is possible, if you believe!”
